Two nights ago, my brother Jasper asked me how many milliseconds are in a year. I just had to find out so I took out my pencil and paper and started solving. I put all of my problems together in to one big problem. Here is the problem I used. I started with how many days are in a year.
365
x 24
1460
+ 7300
8760
x 60
0000
+ 525600
525600
x 60
000000
+ 3153000
3153000
x 1000
0000000
00000000
000000000
+ 3153000000
3153000000
So over all there are 3,153,000,000 milliseconds in a year.
Eben,
ReplyDeletePoppie said you are really, really close on your claculations. You are missing it by 6 million milliseconds. But he was impressed with the way you figured it out and so am I. I love you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.
Love,
